Don Le’Mon of CNN was quoted as saying that Republicans are extremists and “are doing something that is very dangerous to our society, and we have to acknowledge that.”
No joke.
The GOP is endangering America through a threat of “growing extremism”.
Pretty rich for someone from CNN and a Democrat Party rump remora to say. It should come as no surprise that Lemon’s sour buddies in the Democrat Party are the ones who haven’t found an extreme position they thought too extreme with which to align in the past several decades. Gone are the days of the pro-military, America first, Scoop Jackson conservative Democrat, tis the season of Nancy Pelosi and the San Francisco Bath House Party.
The point needs to be made to Senor Le’Mon, that the danger to our society and the Democrat Party is not the GOP. The time is coming that people will realize everything of which the Democrats accuse others, they are.
The call is coming from inside their house!
It’s the bastardized ideology with which they have cloaked themselves that will be their downfall.
Intersectionality will do it.
Intersectionality is defined as “the ways in which systems of inequality based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, class and other forms of discrimination “intersect” to create unique dynamics and effects.”
Now consider transgenderism in the context of that definition.
Intersectionality claims that there is a way to connect or skim all the “inequalities” from each aggrieved class and coalesce them into a COMMON grievance, that of discrimination and inequality – but how can the grievances of a biological woman be reconciled with those of a man who thinks he is a woman? How can a third of fourth wave feminist who exclusively believes that being female and fighting for “rights” specific to a biological female support a dude in a dress?
Intersectionality implies that the categories of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability are united in inequality when each of those categories are used to separate, not unite, these groups as each use those definitions as cudgels against each other for their place on the podium in the grievance Olympics.
I’ve long noted that the brilliance of the Democrat Party is its ability to gather power based on groups, many with diametrically opposed goals, by convincing each group that they can get what they want while knowing that is impossible.
They have been able to weaponize and politicize the concept of intersectionality to gain and hold power over at least 81 million Americans who voted for Dementia Joe and his comedic sidekick, Cackalina the Laughing Clown.
The fact is the Democrat Party is a coalition of disparate, single-issue groups, stitched together by political promises. The Democrat agenda is not about support for a minority, what it really is about is the accumulation and retention of power. They have a remarkable history of uniting disparate radical groups who are opposed to what America really is – oligarchs, giant corporations, environmentalists, statists, communists, Marxists, radical BLM black nationalists, ANTIFA thugs, counterculture rebels, anarchists, anti-religionists, anti-military, and anti-Americans – are all part of the Democrat base.
The only way to manage such groups, many with mutually exclusive goals, is a variation of a Dutch auction. A Dutch auction is typically an auction of financial instruments where the bidding starts with a high offering price and bidding continues by reducing the price until it reaches a price where the entire batch of stock can be sold.
The Democrat version works by putting each disparate group in a room and soliciting bids from them, those bids consist of what demands must be met by the Democrats to get the support of that group. Once the Dems get all the bids on the table, they look at what minimum they can give each group without driving them apart, and more than that, what they can promise but never intend to give because giving it would break up any coalition formed from these groups.
But every con ends. Sooner the marks realize that everybody in the game can’t get theirs and they start jockeying for position at the trough.
Rather than unity, the contradictions in intersectionality will bring outright warfare.
I have been a bit more optimistic that this all is about to happen, but I don’t presume it will just go away without a fight. There are too many people with too much invested to just let it go and walk away.
We may well have a fight, a civil war, or some sort of separation – if not in deed, in word. America IS two distinctly different civilizations with very different ideas of how the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness is to be conducted. Most likely there will be strife, hardship, and pain.
But as it is with every addiction, healing begins with the recognition of the addiction.
I do believe we are reaching that apex because humans have the innate ability to recognize irreconcilable contradictions. Nobody said it as well as Herb Stein did – if something cannot go on forever, it will stop.
Democrats are overtly pushing policies that hurt rather than help, that harm rather than cure – and all but the hardest of the hard core know it. The pain isn’t theoretical or psychosomatic, it is real, observable and felt every day at the pump, the Big Box building stores, and in the grocery aisles. Doing the same things, you did two years ago leave you with less in your pocket with each passing week. Your savings and 401K are worth less. Whether they admit it or not, even the hard core true believers are getting it good and hard.
To steal the lyrics from Semisonic’s great song “Closing Time”:
“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
America is at the end of the Democrat left’s beginning.
The confluence of grievances from this day on shall be referred to as InterseXtionality.
I believe the Taranto Principle has lead to this, and is the most powerful force in Dem politics lately.
