This is fantastic. I often substitute teach at a school in a very economically challenged area, and I can get the kids' attention by bringing in superhero stickers and having them explain who they are and what powers they have. The superhero characters engage kids so well. Of course I only ask G rated questions. We try to talk to the kids about choices. When I look back on bad choices I made, I try to both figure out how to make better ones and to see how the consequences of my choices may help me help someone else. If it weren't for some bad choices I've made, I wouldn't be able to connect with the students I teach. Then again, I might be married with a house and two cars. The story isn't over!
I often think about a cute romantic comedy film called About Time. It is entertaining, with a terrific cast and a more serious message that stays with me: If I could travel back in time during my lifetime and change decisions I made 1) would I? 2) should I? and 3) how would it impact my life and those around me? Especially profound I you are a parent.
I was at a youth gathering at a friend's parent's lake and our youth pastor invited us to accept Christ. We were sitting around a big campfire and my heart was about to burst out of my chest during our prayer of invitation and I was afraid to speak up. I didn't deny Christ like Peter, but I didn't publicly accept either. I look back on that moment and for along time I have believed the Hand of God was moving me toward something in my future. I have always regretted not answering when the call came. I wonder to this day what might have been different in my life had I answered and found out what that "something" could have been.

Only other SuperHero VDH missed was Walter Williams though I imagine he ran across him eventually.

God is outside of time .... and He knew how that would play out .... you are exactly where you should be ....
Hilarious: “…It would be like just finding out you had superpowers and the first three people you meet are Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.”
I’m not a gamer, either. With my personality, I’d never come up for air. Yet this sounds like fun—thanks for the reco!
