Beware the Two-Headed DonElon
It is the mythical beast come to life - the one Democrats fear the most.
I noted earlier today on X that people are getting impatient with the speed of change expected out of Trump 2.0. I’m not sure what was expected, but I see it all over – Bondi has not set up public hangings in Lafayette Square, Patel hasn’t imprisoned Adam Schiff or the J6 Committee yet, Elon hasn’t had everybody shot at USAID and Trump just isn’t moving fast enough to fire everybody.
I mean, it has been eight weeks now, what is the holdup?
I know much was expected due to the apparent running start, but let’s look at the reality:
A reasonable estimate is that approximately 110 to 130 lawsuits have been filed against the Trump administration as of March 13, 2025, with the number likely closer to the higher end if the reported pace of three per day has continued.
Democrats are excellent at judge shopping, and we are seeing the same kind of unbiased legal treatment from Judges like Chutkan and Howell – and some new second stringers that Biden appointed in his waning days.
Agencies are still slow-walking Trump directives under the radar, and even though Trump is firing the leaders of this “resistance,” completely getting rid of them is somewhat more difficult than anticipated.
Elon’s waste elimination is largely based on cutting future expenses by cancelling future contracts and putting the brakes on planned spending. People need to remember that President Trump was inaugurated after a full third of the new fiscal year (begins on October 1 every year) had already passed, so there is some degree or inertia already working against him. While the media isn’t missing any chances to write about how “Trump’s” spending is setting records, it isn’t really his spending. This is all programmed spending left over from the Biden administration – of which there is little or nothing that can be done.
The present Continuing Resolution to fund government isn’t popular with Thomas Massie, Rand Paul, or many in the listening audience – but it does not stop Trump from acting before the new fiscal year. I think it is a juicy little poison apple the woke Snow Whites in the Democrats normally could not resist, but it may not matter because Trump has found a way to put them in a “heads I win, tails you lose” situation. If they vote to pass a CR everybody knows they would have gladly voted for during the Biden administration, they will be see as giving Trump what he wants and if they don’t and shut down government, two things bad for them happen: it will be obvious that this is a Schumer shutdown and if the government does go into shutdown, guess who gets to decide who and what is “essential” and what is not? That would be the beast the Democrats fear the most, the Godzilla clone, the DonElon!
Hey, I want things to move faster. I want judges and prosecutors to pay for persecuting J6ers. I want the J6 Committee to be punished for both hiding exculpatory evidence and destroying records. I want Biden to be investigated for his use of the Autopen – and I really want to know who was running things during his administration. I want government cut to the literal bone.
But Rome wasn’t built in one day, nor was it destroyed in a day. This would be like firing the head coach of our NFL team because we were behind the end of the first quarter in the Super Bowl.
We need to take a breath and be a little more patient.
This is a full four-quarter game – maybe even with a few overtimes.
If we don’t get what we voted for, I’ll be the first one to pick up a pitchfork.

Ich bin wieder grammarian: "they will be see as giving Trump what he wants" where is the "n"
