America is Ruled by Messianic Sociopaths
We are the best people and nation on the face of the planet and yet we are run by the worst of us.
The greatest danger to America today is that the Democrats have generationally deluded themselves in to believing that "Democrat" and "democracy" are interchangeable.
They have inculcated generations of little leftist Democrats that whatever they want, whatever they do, and however they do it IS democracy, even when those things are the very definition of anti-democratic.
And anyone who tells them they aren't democracy is a bigoted, racist Nazi who should be excommunicated from society, imprisoned, or executed. Every attack on their ideology is taken as a death threat on their person.
I can't even explain the depths of this sickness that includes the caveats "elections have consequences, we won", "stop us if you can", "we are going to do this even if the courts stop us" and "it's not authoritarian when we do it", all excused because they are "doing it for the people", or in especially heinous cases, as Nancy Pelosi is wont to say, "we are doing this for the children" (when it is obvious they are doing it only for themselves).
Sure, it is about power - but with a twist. The power has become the person because without the power, the person doesn't exist. Think about how the invisible people of the world exist without ever making a blip on the radar - now give that person power over something and watch how quickly the KraKaren is released.
At one time or another, every elementary school has had their three-foot tall Hitlerian hall monitor, every HOA their own vicious little Stalin and every civic or church organization their very own Mao.
But that is the way of these ideologues, a nation isn't the people, the nation is the personal extension of a Dear Leader.
Just think about Mr. Science himself, St. Anthony of Fauci, and his cadre of masked men (and women). St. Anthony is a perfect example of a nobody who now has mutated into the Green Goblin now that he has had a taste of authoritarian power.
When you question or challenge Fauci, you are questioning or attacking SCIENCE, you ignorant prole. Are you not aware of that?!
Maybe this all began back in the 60’s with the left’s love affair with Saul Alinsky.
Never forget that Hillary wrote old Saul a love letter back in 1971.
Alinsky was an American community organizer and writer. He is generally considered to be the founder of modern community organizing. His ideas were later adapted by some US college students and other young organizers in the late 1960s and formed part of their strategies for organizing on campus and beyond. Time magazine once wrote that “American democracy is being altered by Alinsky’s ideas,” and conservative author William F. Buckley said he was “very close to being an organizational genius.”
And the reasons for “organizing”? Simply put, it is the acquisition of power, the ability to control and the transformation of society. Supreme among these is the acquisition of power because power makes the other two possible.
In Alinsky’s book, Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals, he promulgates this, oft quoted dictum, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” What we are seeing in the current political landscape is this simple four step concept in full bodied application.
The personal has been made political and the political made personal.
But instead of an organizing strategy or political tactic, the left came to incorporate this personalization of politics as a tenet of their new godless religion of progressivism.
The fact is when the personal becomes political, nothing is off limits and rational debate has ended. Emotions enter the equation. Anger, hate and frustration are not rational emotions. We become reactionary, thoughtless, only focused on where the next attack is coming from. They cause us to strike at the one who strikes at us.
Religious Conservatives are ridiculed for our belief in God. We are attacked for our reliance on, and reverence for, the US Constitution. We are attacked for our stance on abortion. We are called bigots, racists, heartless, greedy, selfish…basically one step below Neanderthals.
Conservatives have long been falsely accused in a blood libel of “creating an environment of hate”, yet the hateful environment created by these neo-progressive Alinskyites is far more pervasive and ubiquitous. The targets are acquired, frozen in place by false hypothesis, personalized via illicit language and terminology and then polarization is almost complete - and the targets are not just conservatives these days – anyone not sufficiently progressive is on the list.
It is tiring. I know that people are tired. I am. There is a feeling that average people just want it to stop.
Conservatives are tired of the constant siege – moderates are tired of the political stasis that the left and right being at loggerheads brings. That is why we see the “both sides do it” and “we need to move on” comments come up so frequently. People feel constantly under attack because there is no refuge from it once it becomes personal. There is fallout, collateral damage. People just want it to be over. They want to know what the endgame is.
Is there an endgame?
Of course, there is. There are two possible outcomes. One is that the neo-progressive Alinskyites win. They gain and hold power. Politics becomes permanently the province of the personal and penetrates every aspect of public and private life. It must; this is the only way the neo-progressives can hold onto power. In an Alinskyite universe, something like the current climate will always exist.
The second is that we break their hold. One of the effects of polarization is that we don’t share the same goals anymore. Today, we are not arguing over different tactics to achieve the same goal, we are arguing over the goals themselves.
We depersonalize the political by focusing on the facts. We eliminate half-truths and spin and deal with the real issues. We eliminate opinion masquerading as fact, drop the slick messaging and speak frankly and truthfully to each other. We then can depolarize.
Personalizing an ideology to the point the person becomes the living version of the ideology is a mental illness, a messiah complex.
It is also sociopathic.
In any sane world, a messianic sociopath would be too much of a contradiction to exist.
And yet, here we are.
We are about to roll into 2022 with a bunch of messianic sociopaths in charge of government.
We are the best people and nation on the face of the planet and yet we are run by the worst of us.
Nailed it yet again .... I appreciate your being out there .... seeing what I am seeing (for the most part) .... and writing about it .... Thank you!
If only we had you as our leader.
