All the Radical Leftism of McGovern Combined with the Incompetence of Jimmy Carter
Our current president and his party are the greatest threats to our national security.
Saw a meme this morning that said Biden was the combination of the radical leftism of George McGovern and the incompetence of Jimmy Carter.
While I would add the arrogance of Obama to that, I think the McGovern/Carter nexus is pretty much true - except for the fact that neither McGovern nor Carter were backed by a party that openly hated America and revered terrorists the way the contemporary Democrat Party does.
Sure, the Democrats have always swooned over leftist radicals but never as openly as they do today.
And keep in mind that while we see Biden's presidency for the failure it is - and it is a spectacular failure on all fronts - his supporters are claiming Biden is a success - and because they honestly believe he is, that tells you a lot about how much they want their enemies destroyed.
There is not a single thing the Biden administration has done that is good for America. America was working just fine until the draconian pandemic policies were instituted, most of which are now statistically provable to have had little to no positive effect. All he had to do to be successful is to do nothing, but he couldn't even do that.
Democrats are masters at projecting their sins onto others and they have become little more than the domestic terrorists they claim Trump supporters are, willing to take America hostage and hurt her until the other side surrenders.
My grandfather always told me that you learn the most about a man when he has nothing to lose - and the "in your face/just try to stop me" attitude of the Biden administration might just be an indication they have finally reached a point that they think they have nothing left to lose.
Winston Churchill wrote:
“Virtuous motives, trammeled by inertia and timidity, are no match for armed and resolute wickedness. A sincere love of peace is no excuse for muddling hundreds of millions of humble folk into total war. The cheers of the weak, well-meaning assemblies soon cease to count. Doom marches on.”
The first chapter of Churchill’s “Gathering Storm” is so packed with wisdom – and warnings – it is difficult to grab a pull quote out of it.
Every paragraph contains something worthwhile but while this particular quote was about the run up to WWII, I found it fits well when applied to our struggles with Islamic terrorism, the Global War on Terror that, for America, began in earnest with the downing of the Twin Towers.
But along with that, it is illustrative of the struggle within our borders against the asymmetrical warfare of the Democrats and the American radical left - the Squad, BLM and ANTIFA.
Let’s face it – our symmetrical world is not capable of dealing with asymmetrical threats. If our enemies don’t play by our established legal rules, we have no mechanism to deal with them. I don’t think it is beyond the realm of possibility that if all terroristic activities were concentrated into one nation-state, there is little doubt that America and her allies would likely declare war against that state and its allies and end the threat the way the Allied ended the Axis threats in WWII – but for lack of an actual administrative state with political and recognized geographic boundaries, war can’t (or won’t) be “legally” declared.
During the 18th century, wars were fought per specific, rigid and mutually respected “gentleman’s” rules. Everybody lined up on either side of the battlefield and like gentlemen, shot at each other until one side killed enough of the other side for it to retire. It was like a group duel until one side asked for quarter.
Here in America, we have historical evidence of how asymmetrical changes to symmetric rules effect an outcome but when the Colonists started using the techniques learned in the various Indian wars, hiding behind trees and fences, sneak attacks and un-gentlemanly hours, ambushing and conducting hit and run attacks, the stiff upper lip Brits couldn’t hang. If it were not for these guerilla tactics, the outgunned, under trained, poorly supplied and otherwise rag-tag Continental Army and the various militias it was made up of would have likely lost and we would still be serving High Tea at 4 pm.
And that pretty much describes the country club the Republican party has become. We think fights should be conducted per the Marquis of Queensbury rules, no blows below the waist or thumbs to the eyes, quarter is given when quarter is requested, and the combatants respect the decisions of the judges and shake hands at the end of the bout.
Democrats are street fighters. They employ tactics that flout every rule in the book, it isn't enough to win, you must be beaten so badly, you can't get off the mat.
Our political warfare is a war against political terrorism, and in a war of and on terrorism, there are no rules.
Just win, baby - because the winner makes the rules.
General George S. Patton is reported to have said to his men that they must forget all the high-minded rules of war that were written in the parlors and salons of moralizing politicians, that the enemy doesn’t care about our rules and he will fight according to his own rules (or absence of them). In such a war, the only way to win is to fight according to the enemy’s rules – or even dirtier.
In our own minds, we know this to be true. On the battlefield, holding true to any rule of engagement that renders you defenseless or restricts your ability to mount an offensive will get you killed.
Somehow I doubt that a Democrat jihadi will praise you for your adherence to high moral standards after he cuts your head off.
Patton was right. War is about victory on the battlefield. Nothing more, nothing less.
For four years, the Democrats and their media allies claimed President Trump was a national security threat and his supporters are domestic terrorists - but by their actions, Democrats have proven to be the real domestic terrorists and Joe Biden is America's greatest national security threat.
