Something the Beatles asked when they sang about Eleanor Rigby.
Maybe there is an answer.
Of course, radicalism ties all the Democrat constituent groups together. It’s not a radicalism of purpose, quite the contrary, being angry and disconnected all the time is a purpose in and of itself.
But being angry and disconnected means they are insufferable, even within their own groups, and that means they are lonely, looking for cohesion, belonging, and common cause where there is none. These are the characteristics of loners, of narcissists and sociopaths.
These folks are not really what I would call “joiners”.
I think this ideology/personal philosophy is a large reason why our younglings feel lonely. I look at all the excuses for why teens and young adults today feel so disconnected from everything especially the three things that can give them the purpose they so desperately desire and have always given Americans that strong sense of purpose - God, family, and country.
It should be obvious to the lightest of minds, a lack of an enduring belief anything, the lack of belonging only a family can give and a constant, gnawing hatred for you’re the very circumstances that give you the latitude to indulge in such fatalistic dreams, is NOT a recipe for happiness. As a matter of fact, a lack of belief in God, eschewing natural, lifelong partnerships with children, and a disdain for your own country leads to isolation and loneliness.
I wish it was hard to understand that young people can’t see how faith, family and fealty to country are the three things that kept people grounded and together through revolutionary and civil wars, two world wars, social upheaval, and some of the most desolate economic times in history but it isn’t. I don’t think it is because they haven’t had the opportunity to know, it is simply that they don’t want to know. Knowing implies they would understand that life is bound by rules and not subject to their desires, whims, or fantasies.
People often do things out of ignorance they would never do if they knew. It is unfortunately all to commonplace today for people to know, but pretend not to know, just so they can do things that are harmful to the very goals they seek to achieve. I believe their attempts to find unity in aspects of life that can never be reconciled leads to their nihilism and dissatisfaction with life.
I will never be convinced that somewhere in the deep-down recesses of their consciousness, a transexual knows what they desire is completely impossible – so their goal becomes the Sisyphean task of pushing the world up the mountain of reality only to have it roll back down every night. As a caring person, I can empathize with their frustration, but not with their delusion.
I also believe the pro-Hamas Palestinian supporters know that Israel is right. As a free man, I respect their energy but not their cause. That same energy, directed in an immoral and evil direction, caused Hitler to murder six million innocents whose only crime was being Jewish or gypsy.
That the various and sundry attempts to create communistic nations prove that a duty to a singular regime cannot be a substitute for love of God, family, and country. Communism tries to be all three, but a government cannot love or care for people the way the trinity of God, family and a free nation can.
Friends are nice, but family is forever, God is eternal, and country is every day.
There’s no other way.
And ignoring that fact is buying a ticket to hell on earth.
Phenomenal piece Michael.
What you are saying isn't complicated...those of us who are have been around for a while understand it. But maybe the fact we HAVE been around for a while is WHY we find it easier to understand.
We can only hope that these kids/people will also grow up quickly and have some awareness. 😕
