A Globalist Illusion?
Are we losing liberty while chasing Klaus Schwab's manufactured ghosts?
Does it feel a little strange to anybody that we fought a Global War on Terror for the better part of 20 years and now we just don’t talk about it any longer?
Our military, often despite their leadership, did a great job of breaking things and killing people, but why did it end?
Was the CIA just so good at rooting out international terrorists that we no longer need to worry?
Was the FBI such a monumental success at finding and neutralizing domestic threats that we shouldn’t even think about them any longer?
How about the State Department, did they just work so diligently on a brilliant foreign policy that negated any threat of terrorism?
I’m thinking nope.
Oh, we were serious and focused for a while after 9/11 – as we should have been because that was a direct attack on America, but it only took a few years until Democrats lost the urge to stop terror around the world and the neocons and neoliberals turned to nation building (or simple graft, because there is still a lot of cash that is missing from the adventures in Iraq and Afghanistan).
If you just look at the past few years, we know the CIA, FBI and the State Department just aren’t capable of that level of performance. They have all been turned into political servants of the Democrat Party, a party against fighting terrorism and winning but who has found a new war the absolutely love in Ukraine.
Not even when he was alive, could Vince Flynn craft such a plot.
So that begs the question, were we sold a bill of goods about the GWOT? Just look at how what was accomplished was simply given away:
Biden didn’t think twice about giving Afghanistan back to the Taliban and their patron state, China.
Biden jumped back in bed with the #1 sponsor of terror in that region, Iran.
Biden returned to a foreign policy of handing out pallets of cash to rogue states to keep them placated.
The Biden regime has a policy of alienating countries in the Middle East with whom we share enemies.
Biden created a border so open, any terrorist worth his salt could walk right through.
It doesn’t really seem we were (or are) that serious about fighting terror.
Now our definition of terrorist includes people who use the wrong pronouns or don’t support Kevin McCarthy for Speaker, at least according to Dan Crenshaw – by the way, what the Hell happened to Crenshaw? One day he looked like Sergeant Rock, the next he looked like ole Adam “Weepy” Kinzinger.
I don’t write this because I don’t believe terrorism, especially Islamic terrorism, just sighed in the face of American power and hung up their AK’s, suicide vests and IEDs, I say it because the globalists and politicians took a serious situation and blew it up to their advantage.
Look at all that has happened while the lead on every newscast was what was happening in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
I would argue that a malignant, malicious globalist form of progressivism advanced more in the past 20 years than in the preceding 100 years – and it did it all under the radar.
Who among us ever heard of the World Economic Forum before 5 years ago? How about Agenda 21? What about Klaus Schwab? Who ever thought a country like Canada, a country that was renowned for its excessive niceness, would turn into Cuba almost overnight (with many minsters directly connected to the WEF) or that citizens of the United States would allow themselves to be cowed into subservience by fear mongering government officials?
The paradox of history is that we rarely comprehend it while it is being made, we only understand it by looking back – but we can shape history as it is being made by understanding the past.
I’m not much of a conspiracy nut, but I am pretty good at recognizing patterns and it sure seems the globalists and progressives sure want Ukraine to become the next distraction – again, there are legitimate reasons to support the people of Ukraine – but it sure seems there are a lot of “reasons” that are more exaggeration than fact.
I keep thinking about something attributed to Ben Franklin, him saying that "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety" and realizing that what we have received is not real safety, it is perceived safety. It isn’t real.
We have been distracted for a long time.
How much liberty have we given up?
